1. What storage is used
Cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage can store identifiers and settings. Necessary functions include authentication, security, a requested session and recording your privacy choices. Other preferences, analytics and advertising uses need the applicable lawful basis and, where required, prior consent. Calling an identifier first-party or cookieless does not automatically exempt it from consent rules.
2. Current browser inventory
- plushouse_cookie_consent and plushouse_cookie_preferences: localStorage entries recording whether you chose and your category settings. They remain until overwritten or removed; the current code does not apply an automatic expiry to them.
- Authentication/session storage: Clerk and the application use relevant session and security mechanisms for signed-in services; actual names and lifetimes depend on the configured authentication service.
- Country, language and other requested interface settings: stored by the relevant feature, including plushouse-country. Persistence depends on the feature and browser. Do not assume every preference is controlled by the analytics switch.
- ph_sid: a random first-party tab/session identifier; ph_vid: a returning-visitor marker in localStorage. The first-party traffic tracker uses these for traffic measurement. Its consent behavior is described below.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, if configured: analytics measurement and interaction analysis. Sentry Replay: masked public-page replay. Meta Pixel and associated conversion reporting: marketing measurement with marketing consent. Provider identifiers and lifetimes depend on configuration and provider updates.
3. Your choices and withdrawal
The banner offers all categories, necessary only and customized settings. Optional analytics and marketing are off until chosen. Use the Cookie settings control on this page to reopen the same choices at any time. Withdrawal applies to subsequent processing controlled by those choices; already transmitted data and provider retention may require a separate request. Browser settings can also block or remove storage, though blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or requested functions.
4. First-party traffic measurement
The first-party traffic tracker records page paths, a random session identifier, device category, external referrer and a new/returning marker, and sends presence heartbeats. Signed-in events may be associated with your account; a random identifier does not make them anonymous. It is gated by analytics consent and skips private account and authentication pages. Previously collected events remain subject to the applicable retention and erasure assessment. Raw page-view and hourly-rollup cleanup windows in the source are 90 days and 7 days respectively; aggregate daily totals can remain. Persistent storage may remain on your browser until removed.
5. Mobile permissions and contact
Mobile notifications, camera, microphone and device location permissions are handled through the app and operating-system controls; this browser banner is not a substitute for those choices. Ask privacy@plushouse.eu about storage, provider information or your rights. The Privacy Policy explains recipients, international processing and complaints.
